Very few regions have the right combination of soil, weather, and humidity to grow top quality teak. Our supplier uses only Grade "A" teak wood harvested from government controlled forests in accordance with strict sustainable forestry practices. Unlike any other variety of wood, the natural characteristic of teak is its durability in all weather conditions - it is undeniably the best wood for outdoor furniture.  Don't be fooled by cheaper and lesser quality woods. Teak has a uniquely dense grained hardwood that resists rot, warping, shrinking and swelling. Its high natural oil content continually preserves the wood so it can be left outdoors for decades. Because of the durability of teak in all weather conditions it was once used to build the decks of ships. In addition to its natural durability, teak furniture is very smooth and does not splinter. The color of teak stays very neutral in all weather conditions whether its exposed to the sun, rain, or cold. Its also maintains its pleasant natural aroma for years.
